How Your Complaint Will Be Handled
I am committed to handling all complaints fairly, promptly and confidentially.
1. Acknowledgement
I will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 30 calendar days, confirming that it has been received and is being investigated.
2. Investigation
If I require any further information to fully investigate your complaint, I will contact you as soon as possible.
Your complaint will be investigated carefully and impartially, and I will keep you informed if there are any unexpected delays.
3. Outcome
Once I have all the information needed, I aim to provide you with a written response within one calendar month.
If your complaint is particularly complex, this period may be extended by up to a further two months. If this is necessary, I will explain why and keep you updated throughout the process.
4. Resolution
Where appropriate, I will explain:

what happened;

whether I believe your complaint is upheld;

any action that has already been taken;

any further action I intend to take to resolve the matter.
5. Closing the Complaint
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your complaint will be closed.
A record of the complaint will be retained securely in accordance with my legal and professional obligations.
If You Remain Dissatisfied
If, after I have investigated your complaint, you remain dissatisfied with my response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent authority for data protection.
